Introduction
Saudi Gulf News: Elsewedy Electric for Power Transmission and Distribution has successfully completed it's El Saad Solar Power Plant near Riyadh and handover it. This is first utility scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant of Elsewedy of capacity 348.6 MWp in Gulf region. This project is 85 Km far from Riyadh and now it has officially entered into "Operation and Maintenance" phase. The company has achieved Provisional Acceptence Certificate (PAC) for this project.

- Key Impact 3: There is 132 KV substation and overhead transmission line which make it more reliable.
- Key Impact 4: Technical workshops and vocational training program were organized for local engineers. It will increase the skills of Saudi workforce.
- Key Impact 5: This project has completed with "Zero Injury" and "Zero Lost Time Injury". This is a big achievement.
More Information
Jinko Power and Al Ghazala Energy played a big role in this project execution. Elsewedy has not only installed solar pannels but also installed advance power conversion system and protection control system. OCA-Global has worked as a consultant for this project. Elsewedy Transformers, Alfanar, Siemens Energy, aur Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia has also provided technical support.
