Introduction
Saudi Gulf News: Saudi Electricity Projects Development Co (PDC) a subsidiary of Saudi Energy Company (SEC) has started tower removal activity in Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Road in Riyadh. They will replace it with underground cables line.

Important Details of Project
65 towers will be removed completely which are located near the edge of road according to PDC. New underground cables will be installed in order to supply electricity. 4 underground cable lines will be laid down. Every line is 30 Km and total will be 120 Km. These lines will cover to connect Wadi Hanifa (West) to Wadi Al Sulai (East).
Why Towers are being removed?
The major purpose of this step is to clear way of Riyadh's mega project "Sports Boulevard" Al Masar Al Riyadi. Infrastructure of city will be changed by tower removing. The beauty of city will be revived and old heavy towers will be removed. Cycling track, horse riding track, and pedestrian paths will be developed in place of removed towers. This project is part of Saudi Vision 2030, in order to list Riyadh in top 10 livable cities in world.
