Jeddah: Major Investment & Coverage there are 15 development
projects underway in NWC (National water company). The total cost is SAR 2.3+
billion. More than 1.3 million people will take benefit from this project. The
aim is to Improve wastewater services and operational efficiency in Jeddah.

Eastern Tunnel Project Jeddah:
The Cost is more than SAR 774 million. The total length is 14
kilometers. It is located in East of Haramain Road to Lift Station 2 (Airport).
They will use advanced tunneling methods to minimize surface disruption. It
will serve districts like Braiman, Al Manar, Al Ajwad, Al Samar, Al Montazah,
Al Tawfiq, Al Rabieh, Marrikh, Al Waha, and Al Nakheel in Jeddah. 1.1 million
people will take benefit from this project.
Airport Sewage Lifting Project:
The cost is more than SAR 915 million. Its capacity is 611,000
m³/day. The main goal is to reduce pollution and increase service coverage.
Samer District Sewerage Project:
This project covers Samer 1, 2, 3 and parts of Samer 4. The
length is more than 17.8 km. the cost is more than SAR 54 million. More than
20000 people will take benefit from this project.
Feeder Sewerage Lines Projects:
This is serving: Al Waha 1–3, Al Shati 2–6 (parts), Al Nahda
1 & 3, Al Zahraa 1–4 (parts).
Here total of 10 projects are initiated.
Surface Water Lowering Projects:
The locations is Bahra governorate, Al Raya, Al Mosaid, and Kilo
14. The cost is more than SAR 620 million. The total length is more than 238
kilometers. More than 184000 people will take benefit from this project.
Goals and Objectives:
The major goal is to improve environmental and
infrastructure services. Environmental damage will be eliminated. It will expand
its services to unserved districts. These projects are align with Saudi Vision
2030 for sustainable development.
