Technip Energies has secured a significant contract from Larsen & Toubro Limited’s Hydrocarbon Business (L&T Energy Hydrocarbon – LTEH) to deliver Detailed Engineering Design services for a key offshore project led by Qatar Energy LNG, one of the world’s top liquefied natural gas producers.
The contract is part of the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4), an ambitious initiative to enhance and sustain Qatar’s massive natural gas production capacity. The award, considered “significant” by Technip Energies' standards, falls within the revenue range of €50 million to €250 million and was recorded in the company’s Q1 2025 financials under its Technology, Products & Services segment.
Scope of Work
Having successfully completed the project's Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase, Technip Energies will now move forward with providing Detailed Engineering Design for two major offshore compression complexes. Each complex will include:

Supporting offshore infrastructure
This next phase of the project will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability and efficiency of Qatar’s energy output from its world-renowned North Field.
