China Railway Construction awarded $1.13 billion Diriyah utilities Contract

The contract was granted to a joint venture between China Railway Construction Corporation Saudi Branch and China Railway Construction Group Central Plain Construction Co. Ltd. This move is part of Diriyah’s broader vision to integrate education and infrastructure excellence into its 14-square-kilometer mega development, known as the "City of Earth."

The project includes extensive infrastructure works such as a district cooling plant, water storage, sewage treatment, utility tunnels, and several support buildings. It marks another milestone in Diriyah’s rapid growth and aligns with the Kingdom’s broader development goals under Vision 2030.
