RIYADH – Two major water infrastructure projects in Diriyah Governorate, with a combined investment of over SAR140 million, have been finalized by the National Water Company (NWC), marking a significant step forward in enhancing water supply across the Riyadh region.
Spanning more than 26 kilometers, the newly completed networks have been designed to improve water distribution not only in Diriyah but also in prominent districts such as Hittin, Al-Nakheel, and Al-Khuzama. The projects are also expected to play a vital role in supporting the iconic Diriyah Gate development, a cornerstone of Riyadh’s urban revitalization efforts.
According to NWC’s latest press statement, an additional 146,000 cubic meters of water per day will be added to the supply network, improving operational efficiency, expanding coverage, and enhancing service quality for thousands of customers in the capital.
By aligning with its broader infrastructure development goals, the company has ensured that the new projects contribute to Saudi Vision 2030—a national roadmap aimed at improving quality of life, boosting sustainability, and supporting economic growth.
Rather than being a one-off initiative, these projects are part of NWC’s ongoing strategy to modernize water and environmental services. The utility emphasized that its current and future expansions are being carried out under comprehensive strategic plans that aim to optimize infrastructure performance while ensuring the long-term sustainability of water resources.
“Reliable service delivery that meets the expectations of our customers will continue to guide our operations,” an NWC representative noted. “Our mission is closely tied to national development goals, and every project we complete brings us closer to building a smarter, more sustainable water system for the Kingdom.”
With these latest achievements, NWC reaffirms its dedication to excellence, environmental responsibility, and customer satisfaction—principles that underpin every initiative it undertakes in support of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious future.
