Introduction
Saudi Gulf News: Onuba is named as first phase of Andalusia Green Hydrogen Valley is now going to be a reality. Moeve's board of directors has approved finance of this project. The construction work will begin next few weeks. This will be a big Green Hydrogen plant of southern Europe. The major purpose of this project is to provide clean energy to old heavy industry and heavy transport. Masdar (UAE) and Enalter will also work with Moeve to make Spain a renewable energy hub.

- Key Impact 2: Oil import will be less for Spain and Europe.
- Key Impact 3: New jobs will be created and there will be investment in industrial sector.
- Key Impact 4: Cheap fuel will be delivered to aviation, marine, and chemical industry. It will help to lessen pollution.
More Information
The value of investment for this plant is €1 billion. Construction of infrastructure, and photovoltaic (Solar) power plant will be developed. This plant is 300 MW for now. It can be expanded to 400 MW if grid capacity become available and board of director approved. This project is very important for European Commission and they named it as "Project of Common European Interest".
"As an early mover in this sector, we have long recognized green hydrogen’s role in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors. This partnership, under the leadership of Moeve, reflects our strategy of advancing commercially viable green hydrogen projects in markets where demand is clear. We are also pleased to be advancing our support for Spain's clean energy ambitions." Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, said.
"The Onuba project represents a significant step forward for the development of green hydrogen in Spain. At Enagás Renovable we continue to support projects that drive energy independence, foster new industrial opportunities and contribute to job creation.
