Levidian and Zentek to Launch Graphene and Air Filtration Manufacturing Hub in the Middle East

In an exciting new collaboration, UK-based climate tech firm Levidian and Canadian nanotechnology company Zentek have joined forces to explore the creation of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in the Middle East. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of next-generation air filtration and graphene-based products while contributing to the region’s clean energy and sustainability goals.

Levidian and Zentek to Launch Graphene and Air Filtration Manufacturing Hub in the Middle East

The two companies are aligning their strengths in carbon capture and advanced materials development to bring Zentek’s ZenGUARD™ Enhanced Air Filters to the regional market. These innovative filters, powered by graphene, offer significantly better performance than traditional materials by improving indoor air quality and reducing airborne pathogens—an urgent need in health, government, and industrial sectors.

Pioneering Clean Technology

At the heart of the initiative is Levidian’s LOOP system, a patented technology that transforms methane into clean hydrogen and high-quality graphene. By intercepting carbon before methane is burned, LOOP not only cuts harmful emissions but also produces graphene with applications across multiple industries—such as energy storage, plastics, automotive parts, and renewable energy tech like solar panels.

This synergy between Zentek’s expertise in advanced air filtration and Levidian’s low-carbon graphene production could revolutionize how industries approach sustainability.

Ian Hopkins, Chief Commercial Officer at Levidian, said:
“Zentek’s focus on nanotechnology to solve global challenges perfectly matches our mission to decarbonise industrial processes. By combining our LOOP technology with Zentek’s ZenGUARD™ innovation, we’re not just offering a powerful product—we’re helping advance cleaner air and greener industry across the Middle East.”

Healthier Indoor Environments

Indoor air pollution remains a growing concern worldwide, affecting both productivity and well-being. Zentek’s ZenGUARD™ filters harness the unique properties of graphene to provide superior protection against contaminants and airborne pathogens. Beyond cleaner air, these filters offer enhanced energy efficiency, making them an ideal choice for hospitals, government buildings, and manufacturing facilities.

Ryan Shacklock, Senior VP of Strategy and Business Development at Zentek, shared:
“Our ZenGUARD™ filters are a real-world example of how graphene can enhance everyday products. Partnering with Levidian allows us to scale this solution globally while also exploring new applications for graphene-enhanced technology that support sustainability and public health.”

Middle East as the Next Innovation Hub

As part of their agreement, Levidian is in the process of selecting a location in the Middle East for a new production and delivery center. The facility will serve as a central hub for manufacturing and regional distribution, showcasing how climate tech and advanced materials can work hand-in-hand for impactful change.

The site is expected to generate around 100 direct jobs in engineering, manufacturing, and commercial roles, with an additional 150 indirect jobs created through supporting industries and logistics.

With this partnership, Levidian and Zentek are not just expanding their global footprint—they're setting a new standard for how environmental technology can be both commercially successful and socially impactful.
