Oman Inks $597.5 Million Agreement for 'Telal Al Qurum' Integrated Tourism Complex in Muscat

Introduction

Saudi Gulf News: Oman government has initiated a mega project named "Telal al Qurum". This is Integrated Tourism Complaex (ITC). Here hotels, restaurants, and entertainments will be in one place.
Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism together with Sorouh Al Qurum Real Estate Company signed a mega project valued $597.5 million (RO 230 million).

Project Highlights

  • It will be developed in famous area of Muscat Al Qurum.
  • The total timeframe of this project is 15 years and it will be completed in different phases.
  • There will be two 4-start hotels will be developed where 400 units will be there.
  • Indoor games hall, trampoline facility, and mega commercial units are part of this project.
  • The residential units will be on freehold base. It means local and international people can buy and own the home.

Official Statement

"The agreement affirms the keenness of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to develop the infrastructure of the tourism sector in a manner that enhances its contribution to the national economy." "It also reflects the Ministry’s commitment to support local content and generate sustainable employment opportunities." According to Ministry Officials.

 

"As we look forward to providing a distinguished residential experience that meets everyone's expectations, this project will contain all modern services and facilities that meet the needs of residents and visitors alike." Company Spokesman.

Planning of This Project

  • This project is divided into different batches. Each batch consist of some residential buildings and commercial outlets. For example there are apartments in batch 2 and 3. There are high rise tower in batch 4.
  • Basic infrastructure will be developed in start, and then two 4-star hotels with 200 units will be added slowly.
  • This 15 years long road map is for sustainability. Oman do not want that there should be sudden burden on Muscat's skyline and infrastructure.

Impact of This Project

This project will make Oman a "High End Life Destination". It will be easy to buy and live in houses for expats. This project will create more jobs for local people.
