Introduction
Oman Electricity Transmission Company has awarded a contract to Oman National Engineering Company. The total value of this project is $83 million. The scope of work include construction of 132/33 KV Grid Station and construction of 132 KV overhead transmission line between Mabella Industrial and Mabella Grid Station.
The project will be completed within 18 months. This project is big part of Sultan Haitham City where 100000 people will live there. ONEIC shares has been increased 7.7% after this news in Muscat Stock Exchange. According to ONEIC, this project will not only increase their revenue but also the experience in construction of overhead transmission line.

Sultan Haitham City is a smart city which is spreaded 14.8 million sqm. It is housing of near about 100000 people. Electrical grid station is very important for this housing society. This grid station will prove as backbone for this smart city. $83 million project shows that ONEIC has expertise in complaex technical and engineering field. Investor confidence has also increased.
Oman has already issued OMR 200 million of road and infrastructure in Sultan Haitham City. This new grid station will activate that projects.
