 Executive Summary

Mwani Qatar and the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 17-Feb-2025 in Riyadh. This ceremony was represented by Capt. Abdulla Mohamed Al-Khanji and Eng. Sulaiman bin Khalid Al-Mazroua. The MoU is a collective framework to make modern port operations, synchronize digital infrastructure, and boost trade. Qatar and Saudi Arabia is focusing to transform the region into global logistics hub which is in line with Vision 2030 of both countries. Under this MoU both countries will share their investment, environmental consideration, and technological assistance.

  • Both countries will do marketing of Gulf cruise tourism and establishing of regional warehouses centers to boost tourism and economy.

The "One Window Solution" is game maker for this MoU. It means a ship docking in Qatar and then moving to Saudi Arabia (or vice-versa) can potentially share data seamlessly, easily, and accurately.
