Doha, Qatar – April 2025: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded a new consultancy contract to KEO International Consultants for the provision of supervision services related to major road construction initiatives in Qatar. The contract, valued at QAR 41 million, covers the development of vital link roads connecting Mazrooah to Attoriya, as well as infrastructure enhancements in Bu-Thaila Zones 71 and 72.
This appointment reflects Ashghal’s strategic focus on enhancing Qatar’s national road network to support urban expansion, reduce congestion, and improve connectivity between key areas. Under the terms of the agreement, KEO International Consultants will provide comprehensive site supervision services throughout the construction period, acting as the designated professional oversight authority on behalf of Ashghal’s Highway Projects Department.
The scope of the consultancy includes all aspects of site supervision, contract management, and administration. The selected supervision consultant is expected to coordinate closely with the construction contractors to ensure full compliance with Ashghal’s technical specifications, design standards, and project timelines.
As part of their responsibilities, the consultant will manage, lead, and integrate project delivery to maximize both time and cost efficiency. Their role is critical in ensuring that the works are completed in accordance with the Authority’s quality benchmarks, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.
The consultancy contract will run for a duration of 1,496 days from the official commencement date, ensuring long-term oversight and consistency throughout the construction lifecycle.
This development is part of Ashghal’s broader efforts to invest in robust transportation infrastructure that supports Qatar National Vision 2030. With this contract, Ashghal continues to collaborate with globally recognized engineering and consulting firms to deliver complex infrastructure projects that meet the growing needs of the country.
