Bechtel has signed an agreement
with the King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) to work
as delivery partner for the 3 new terminals at King Salman International
Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh.
The scope of Bechtel’s Role is to
deliver three major terminals are Terminal 6 for low-cost carriers, Main
terminal for commercial carriers, and New private aviation terminal with hangars.
The Project includes design, construction, and integration. The overall aim to
achieve LEED Platinum certification for all terminals.
Strategic and Economic Importance
for KSIA (King Salman International Airport) is a flagship Vision 2030 project,
which is designed to be a international aviation hub and economic driver for Riyadh
and surrounding regions. The project will enhance global connectivity and
improve the passenger experience.
When completed, KSIA will Operate
6 parallel runways. It will handle up to 185 million passengers/year by 2050.
It will support 3.5 million tons of cargo/year.
Bechtel has completed 300+
projects in Saudi Arabia, in which the Riyadh Metro also included. It is known
for delivering world largest and complex airport.

The contract was signed during President
Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia, which is reflecting the strengthened U.S.-Saudi
infrastructure development cooperation.
